SharkNinja's adjusted margin includes a $134 million tariff refund
Strong product sales supported a higher outlook. A separate look at the refund shows how much it lifted the quarter’s profitability.

SharkNinja raised its annual outlook after strong sales across its product categories. Its adjusted profitability also benefited from a tariff refund that remained inside the company's preferred earnings measures.
SharkNinja removed the net benefit related to prior-year duties when calculating adjusted results. It retained the $134.3 million benefit attributed to current-year duties in adjusted gross profit.
Research by Ticker Byline shows that removing only the disclosed current-year refund from adjusted gross profit would leave approximately $971.4 million, equivalent to about 49.1% of sales. The comparable prior-year company-adjusted margin was about 50.3%.
Refund expectations were already in the forecast
In August, SharkNinja had already included an expected net refund benefit in its outlook. The November announcement therefore does not represent the first expectation of a refund, and the quarter's gross refund amount is not directly comparable with the earlier forecast of its net earnings effect.
The company now expects annual adjusted earnings per share of $6.65 to $6.75, up from $6.45 to $6.55. Its sales-growth forecast rises to 18% to 19% from 16% to 17%.
The operating expansion is substantial in its own right. Quarterly sales reached $1.976 billion, compared with $1.630 billion a year earlier, with growth across all four product categories and both geographic segments.
Recognized profit and cash arrive at different times
Third-quarter GAAP net income was $338.4 million, above adjusted net income of $330.9 million. Removing prior-year net refund income and related interest more than offset the other adjustments.
Operating cash flow over the first nine months was $107.4 million, compared with $47.1 million a year earlier. A refund receivable of $186.1 million, including interest, was received in October, after the quarter-end.
Inventory had also increased ahead of the holiday selling season, according to management. Fourth-quarter results will help show how that stock converts into sales and cash. The SharkNinja company profile tracks product growth, refunds and the balance sheet separately.
