Loar's higher outlook still points below its record quarter

The aircraft-parts maker raised its 2026 targets. A comparison with results already earned shows what the forecast leaves for the final three months.

Research by Ticker Byline shows that the revised outlook implies fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA of $65.4 million to $70.4 million, below the $71.9 million reported for the third quarter. The calculation subtracts results already earned through September from the company's November 5 full-year forecast.

Adjusted EBITDA is a profit measure that adds back interest, taxes and selected expenses, including depreciation, amortization and stock-based compensation.

Loar raised its annual adjusted EBITDA range to $270 million to $275 million from $265 million to $270 million in August. It called the latest quarter its 17th consecutive quarter of record adjusted EBITDA. The implied fourth-quarter range is about 2% to 9% below that latest result.

The sales gap is smaller. At the top of the new annual revenue range, implied fourth-quarter sales are less than 1% below the third quarter.

Growth remains strong

Third-quarter sales rose 39% from a year earlier, including 15.8% organic growth, which excludes newly acquired businesses from the comparison. Operating profit rose to $46.2 million from $29.0 million.

Net income fell 29% as interest on acquisition-related borrowing and a tougher tax comparison absorbed the operating gains. Cash generated by operations improved to $44.9 million from $29.7 million.

Loar also raised its 2026 net-income target to $60 million to $64 million from $56 million to $60 million. For 2027, it projects revenue of $745 million to $755 million and adjusted EBITDA of $312 million to $317 million. The annual plans still call for growth beyond 2026, even though the revised outlook implies a softer finish to this year.
