Revvity, Inc. (NYSE: RVTY) supplies instruments, reagents, software and services used in scientific research and diagnostics. Life Sciences serves pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, research laboratories and other customers. Diagnostics includes reproductive health and immunodiagnostics. The company formerly operated as PerkinElmer; its current identity is Revvity.

The growth engine changes

Life Sciences' organic revenue grew 9% in the quarter ended October 4, 2026, after falling 3% in the quarter ended July 5. Each rate is year over year and excludes currency and recent acquisitions. Diagnostics' corresponding growth, with China immunodiagnostics (IDX) excluded, slowed from 11% to 5%.

Our comparison of the original August and November reports finds that Life Sciences supplied $36.8 million of the $49.2 million quarterly revenue increase outside China IDX, about 75%. In Q2, its revenue fell $7.2 million while the remaining Diagnostics business added $37.8 million. These dollar contributions include currency and acquisitions.

Third quarters ended October 4, 2026 and September 28, 2025. USD millions, except EPS. Actual reported scope includes China IDX.

Life Sciences' adjusted operating profit rose to $119.5 million from $101.0 million. Reported Diagnostics adjusted profit also rose, to $104.3 million from $89.4 million. Both businesses improved even though their sales-growth rates moved in opposite directions.

Two layers of adjustment

Adjusted operating profit removes intangible amortization, restructuring and selected other costs. The current quarter removes $84.7 million of amortization and $28.4 million of restructuring and other charges. GAAP profit also rose, but remains below the adjusted measure.

Separately, the pro forma comparison excludes China IDX from both years as if already sold. On that basis, revenue was $709.6 million versus $660.5 million, adjusted operating profit was $208.8 million versus $172.0 million, and adjusted EPS was $1.37 versus $1.13.

Q2's pro forma adjusted profit included approximately $16 million of tariff refunds, or about $0.11 per share. August management planned to reinvest part of those receipts for growth. That benefit is context when comparing Q2 with Q3.

Forecast and portfolio

The updated annual forecast excludes China IDX: approximately $2.86 billion revenue, roughly 5% organic growth and adjusted EPS of $5.40 to $5.45. August called for $2.83 billion to $2.86 billion and $5.30 to $5.40. Fiscal 2026 ends January 3, 2027 and has an extra week in Q1.

The July 31 China IDX sale agreement, announced in August, remains pending with closing expected by the end of 2027. The headline price is up to $200 million, subject to adjustments and conditions. This business represented about 6% of 2025 revenue.

ACD/Labs was acquired in Q1 for $72 million paid at closing plus up to $8 million conditional on revenue targets through 2028. Its scientific software is included in Life Sciences, while the organic measure excludes recent acquisition effects.

Cash and debt

Nine-month continuing operating cash was $484.5 million versus $407.0 million. The company's free-cash-flow definition also subtracts capital spending and adds capital-disposal proceeds, producing $451.4 million versus $353.6 million. These cash figures still include China IDX.

October cash was $592.8 million, versus $1.023 billion in July. Repaying $571.2 million of maturing notes drove the quarter's cash reduction. Carrying debt fell to $2.634 billion from July's $3.205 billion. The maturity payment had already been disclosed in August.

Repurchase cash was only $95,000 in Q3, versus $205.0 million a year earlier; dividends were $7.8 million. The $1 billion authorization was announced in October 2025. Future results can test sustained Life Sciences demand, profitability after restructuring and cash conversion. Read the report on the growth recovery for the latest comparison.
